Today I’m bringing you a moment of complete and utter transparency. Life is HARD. Juggling a million priorities at once is HARD. Trying to be the best at everything is HARD. You may be wondering why I haven't been as consistent with my blog lately. Well, I recently started a new job and I have never felt so overwhelmed. The transition took longer than I expected, I was spending more time at the office and I was just really stressed out. I felt drained, exhausted, and overwhelmed by just about everything I had going on in my life ...

Charleston Weekend Travel Guide
Charleston, South Carolina has been "up next" on my travel list for way too long. Thankfully, the wait is over and I finally got to experience the Holy City. I've broken down my recap into four main parts: outfit details, where to stay, where to eat, and what to do. Enjoy! ...
Summer Workwear Essentials
Summer is officially here. Well I guess not according to the calendar but these temps are saying otherwise. When it comes to summer workwear I like to keep it clean and simple. Here are three must have items for your summer work wardrobe ...
Felix Gray Review – Do These Glasses Work?
I first heard about Felix Grays through an Instagram ad funny enough. That Instagram algorithm has the magic sauce because I’m tempted by almost every single ad that pops up on my feed. This one in particular highlighted that Felix Gray glasses are made for people who sit at computer screens all day. Long story short I ended up purchasing a pair - shocking I know. I've recapped my thoughts on them here ...
LBD (Long Black Dress)
Well I think it's safe to say that my obsession with the Who What Wear line at Target has reached new heights. Target is very well-known among women as one of the most dangerous places on earth. You go in looking for face wash and leave with throw pillows, kitchen gadgets, wine, snacks, and a whole new wardrobe ...
Effortlessly Cool in Culottes
I'm so excited to share this look with y'all. Mostly because I've been a fan of culottes for so long. They really are a great alternative to the basic slim ankle pants that most of us dawn on the regular. Not only are they a good way to switch up your work style but they're a bit dressier looking so you can pair more casual tops with them for a balanced, business casual look ...
Trenched in Sophistication
When I think of trench coats I think of two things: 1) detectives, and 2) legit business women. At first I was hesitant to invest in a trench coat. I think I was in denial about the entering the corporate world full-time. Only real adults wear trench coats. I didn't want to be a real adult ...
Red With Energy
Top: Topshop || Pants: Banana Republic || Earrings: Similar here
I wore this exact outfit to work the other day and got so many compliments. The top is so effortlessly good with split sleeves and low maintenance material (what’s an iron?). I’m wearing it with (yep you guessed it) my fave banana pants and these super fun multi colored tassel earrings.
However along with the compliments came a lot of controversy. Is it red or is it orange? We couldn’t come to a unanimous decision but I’m leaning towards red. Anyways it got me thinking about how the colors we wear can affect the mood of those around us. There is a ton of physiological research on colors. Did you know that red actually evokes feelings of passion, power, and energy? You mean I can change how people perceive me just by the color I wear? Um hello sign me up!
How to Mix Prints
Top: Loft || Pants: Similar here and here || Earrings: Sheila Fajl
Mixing prints used to be a huge fashion faux pas and truth be told I have no idea why. I mean come on how cute is this! Now dont get me wrong, this combination definitely pushes boundaries, but it totally works! Pairing a large print with a smaller print, and keeping accessories minimal is the key.
Now about this top – it is so fun and versatile. I’m a big fan of the yellow and navy color combo but add in a bunch of polka dots and statement sleeves and I’m in heaven. I love finding pieces I can wear at work and on the weekend. Here I’ve dressed it up with a polka dot wide leg pant and nude pumps, but I can easily see myself wearing this on a Casual Friday with denim and flats. How do you incorporate prints into your work wardrobe?
